img_9086-1Longboard Burgers, locally operated, family owned and “In & Out” stlyed burgers, is located at 356 Appleway @ 4th st. in the A & D mini-mart.

Three year owner Janna Kender, has always had a passion for making burgers for the community. Kender, who once owned The Trophy Supper Club located up in Hayden Lake, moved onto her true vision.

Years prior, Janna and her family, grew quite tired driving hundreds of miles to the all time famous In & Out Burgers in California. So, they put there heads together, and decided to bring that taste to the North Idaho region.

img_9087-1Because of the increase of popularity of this community, Kender has decided with her manager to extend operating hours to nights. So, she can continuely grow her customer basis. The future hope for this year is to open another store in the Hayden Lake region, to provide that area with the flavor of their fabulous burgers.

The customers that come into this gas station heading to Longboard, come mainly for the Double-Double Combo Burger. The most popular burger on the menu, has made them famous in the local area.

This dine-in, drive-thru burger hot spot, can be reached by telephone at (208)666-1952.

Cd'A Pipe & Cigar Co. Inc.

Thursday, January 15th, 2009

img_8968-1Surely one of Coeur d’Alene’s finest high end tobacco companies, seeing many rare and high quality cigars, hookahs, pipes, & more. Located at 416 ½ Sherman Ave. A tourist friendly shop caters to all, starting with their own brand of tobacco. The many different flavors offered here are very broad, some not even thought about in conventional settings such as this.

Pricing is reasonable for the area, which is refreshing to see. Those that are tobacco users can confirm as well, that smoke shops are usually expensive in price. Where as this store is on the inexpensive side, in the local area.

The rating for storewide quality, professionalism, and customer service would be five stars out of five.

Bella Rose Coffee House

img_9051-1

I love how many coffee shop’s are in my cozy town of Coeur d Alene. Whenever I go to other cities, I have a hard time finding a coffee shop besides Starbucks. I might just not know where they are, but in my town, there are coffee shops on the main drags. The other day I was in Spokane Valley going up and down Sprague Ave looking for a coffee shop to work in. Isnt it Sprague Ave the street that has more restaurants on it than any other street in the world?! And yet there is not a single Coffee Shop. I had to settle for starbucks.

Today I am at Bella Rose, one of the cutest little coffee shops in downtown CDA. They have really good drinks, panini sandwiches and baked goods. I just finished off one of their amazing panini sandwiches. The Turkey Pesto Panini to be exact. It was, as I said before, amazing. However, they really lacked on the chips. I needed just a few more chips. They only give you Tim’s Ultra Super Tiny bag of chips which comes with about 3 chips total. I think they could probably save money by buying the chips in a big bag from SafeWay, and then placing 3 of those chips on your plate.

Bella Rose is not really the best place for people like me, whose sole reason for buying their food is to syphon their internet. They have really good internet, but there are no outlets to plugin your laptop (or desktop if you actually pack your desktop around town). If you need to work on the fly, Bella Rose is the perfect spot. Fast Service and great atmosphere.

Bella Rose is located across the street from Tito Macoroni’s on Sherman Avenue.
