Try combining hiking, golfing, frisbee and site seeing with a blue sky afternoon, temperature around 64 degrees and what do you have? A perfect day time activity! Corbin Park in Post falls offers beautiful trails that lead up and down hills with breath taking views of the Spokane river. Just 5 miles outside of Coeur d'Alene toward Spokane, Corbin park is the perfect environment for a nice game of disc golf.

The game is free, you just need a couple discs, a driver that will cost you around $8 for your long throws and a putter for your short throws (which you could get away without if you must). You can pick up discs at most any sporting good store including the local Coeur d'Alene stores, Tri-State Outfitters (they had the most when I went), Black Sheep and Big Five to name a few.

If you've never played disc golf before – don't worry! It's easy and fun! You basically get to throw a frisbee toward these little metal buckets. The rules are similar to golf in that each shot counts toward your goal of a par score. You get to enjoy leisure trail hiking through trees as you meander through out the park. It's a great family activity or afternoon for socializing with your friends. Wear something casual and weather appropriate, and get ready for an hour or two of fun!
