In this fifth episode of our Coffee Culture series we take you guys to the corner of 5th and Lakeside where some of the best coffee in town is being brewed. The Coeur d’Alene Coffee Co represents everything we love about the vibrant coffee culture here in the Pacific Northwest. Nestled comfortably in the newly renovated Innovation Den, this shop has a homey, classy vibe and awesome variety in their drinks. In this episode we interview Heather, the manager of CDA Coffee Co, and she gives us the scoop on what makes this coffee shop the hub of creativity it is. Enjoy!
Calypsos is a close-knit hub of art and culture here in downtown Coeur d’Alene. At Lakeside and Second, Calypsos has been around longer than any of the other coffee shops in the area. Their unique, artistic vibe has provided a place to thrive for many musicians, writers, and visual artists in Coeur d’Alene. In this episode we give you a glimpse into this haven of creativity, and hear first hand what Calypsos is all about from RJ, the owner. Please enjoy the video!
Throughout Coeur d’Alene there are numerous organizations and companies that are working to make CDA the beautiful and functioning town it is. In a new series of videos, we will be interviewing some of these people behind the scenes in CDA making our town a better place.
We recently visited Tom Morgan who organizes and runs the LakeCity Bicycle Collective and Bike CDA. Every week Tom and Bicycle Collective host a community night in the basement of First Baptist Church in downtown. The evening is dedicated to tearing down old bicycles and rebuilding them for use in the community. LCBC's mission is to recycle unused and unwanted bicycles to make new bikes for kids in difficult situations in the North Idaho/Coeur d'Alene area. They have been doing this valuable community work for a few years now, and the doors are always open for you to get involved.
If this sounds like something you would enjoy, be sure to contact Tom either through his website, or social media:
